Zaparzynski directs an athletic training staff that includes and assistant trainer and 12 students. The staff is responsible for over 1,000 students who participate in intercollegiate and intramural sports.

 

A native of Danville, PA, Zaparzynski is entering her 19th year as an athletic trainer at MU, her 15th as head athletic trainer. Zaparzynski is a 1987 graduate of Lock Haven University where she earned a BS in health, physical education, and athletic training. She received her Masters degree as a reading specialist in 1988 from Bloomsburg University where she also served on the athletic training staff.

 

Zaparzynski is a state-licensed Class A certified Athletic Trainer. She was the head athletic trainer for Danville High School in 1988 and has an extensive athletic training background in high school and collegiate sports.

 

An assistant professor in the Robert Packer Department of Health Science and Physical Activity, and an active member the Eastern Athletic Trainers' Association, Zaparzynski resides in Mansfield with her husband, Joe, and sons, Graeme and Bryce.
