MANSFIELD – Mansfield University’s historic first away sprint football game will be broadcast live on WNTE 89.5 FM and be streamed on the internet at www.GoMounties.com.
The game is set for this Friday, Oct. 24 on Powers Field at Princeton Stadium. Mansfield University Director of Athletic Operations and Information Steve McCloskey will provided the play-by-play starting with a pregame show at 6:45 p.m.
Mansfield is in its first season in the Collegiate Sprint Football League and is playing a modified scheduled this season. The Mountaineers (0-2) hosted Cornell University and the University of Pennsylvania at Karl Van Norman Field earlier in the season and will conclude the 2008 season at Cornell next Friday night.
Princeton is 0-4 on the season after suffering a 52-0 setback to Navy last week. The two teams did meet in a preseason scrimmage earlier this year at Mansfield.
Mansfield expects to play a full season in the CSFL next season including home games with Cornell, Princeton along with Army or Navy.
