night’s Joel Stephens Invitational Tournament a spit ball with rain and the
projection for more rain forcing the Horseheads – Northern Tioga game at Shaute
That game will be made up at 9 a.m. on Friday at Joel Stephens Field at Williamson High School. “We really hated to postpone the game,” said Tournament Operations Director Harry Hillson. “But we got pounded by rain this afternoon and the radar shows more and heavier rain on the way for later today.” “For both the sake of the player’s safety and to prevent them from having to travel here and not play we decided to postpone the game until tomorrow morning.” Friday’s schedule now includes 12 games at Mansfield University’s Shaute Field, Kelly Field in Smythe Park and Joel Stephens Field in Tioga, PA. Opening ceremonies including a parade of all 16 tournament teams is set for 2 p.m. at Shaute Field and includes a tribute to the memory of Joel Stephens.
