FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MINNESOTA TWINS TO HOLD TRYOUT AS PART OF JOEL STEPHENS INVITATIONAL TOURNAMENT
MANSFIELD – The Minnesota Twins will hold a tryout in conjunction with the Joel Stephens Invitational Tournament on Friday, July 1 at Mansfield University's Shaute Field.
The tryout is open to players ages 15 and older. American Legion players will need a release from their team to participate.
Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. Players should report to Shaute Field no later than 9 a.m. and bring their shoes and glove. The tryout will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The seventh annual Joel Stephens Invitational Tournament, presented by Citizens & Northern Bank and Northern Tier Athletics and hosted by Mansfield University, will take place Friday, July 1 through Monday, July 4.
Founded in 1998 to honor the memory of Joel Stephens and other players from the Twin Tiers, the tournament has developed into one of the top senior level tournaments in the Northeast.
