DAY THREE
MANSFIELD – Mansfield, Bellefonte, Camillus and Lamm Post advanced to the Joel Stephens Tournament Championship while Horseheads, Bradford County, Ontario and Bath will compete in the runner-up Josh Palmer Championship at the end of divisional play Sunday in the Sixth Annual Joel Stephens Invitational Tournament.
Mansfield, which finished 2-1 after yesterday to win the Palmer/Henneman Division, advanced to the Stephens Championship after Horseheads (2-1) rallied to beat previously undefeated Hollidaysburg (2-1) 8-7 in eight innings to finish second in the division. Mansfield took first on the bases of fewest runs allowed during the tournament after all three teams tied at 2-1.
Horseheads rallied from a 6-0 deficit with four runs in bottom of the fourth and tied the game on a two run single by Mark Carlson in the bottom of the fifth. Horseheads then won the game in the bottom of the eighth on a two-run single by John Hale. Chris Zelko started and pitched four innings before being relieved by Seth Larson who picked up the win. John Pichette went 2-3 with three rbi’s.
Bellefonte rallied from a 6-0 deficit to beat Bradford County 13-8 to win the Naylor/Dobson Division. Bradford County scored three in the first, one in the second and two more in the fourth before Bellefonte scored eight runs in the bottom of the fourth and added five more in the fifth. Ramy Ragab went 3-5 with two rbi’s to lead Bradford County. Seth Whitehill led Bellefonte going 5-5 with two singles, two doubles and a triple along with five rbi’s. Matthew Narehood got the win.
Lamm Post won the Heaps/Heaps Division with an 8-4 win over Ontario. John Quartroni tripled with two rbi’s and Kevin Maloney tripled and drove in three rbi’s to lead Lamm Post. Mike Fritzgerald had three rbi’s for Ontario.
Camillus finished 3-0 to win the Hunter/Jones Division after beating Bath 8-2 in the final game of the day. Bath finished second to earn a berth in the runner-up Josh Palmer Championship by virture of fewest runs allowed. Tom Perkins and Josh Smith each hit a home run for Camillus.

Corning finished third in the Naylor/Dobson Division with a 9-5 win over the FMS Generals. Charlie Williams got the win with relief held from Brad Johnson. Corey Hmiel went 2-4 for Corning with three rbi’s while Andrew Baker doubled and drove in two rbi’s.
