FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: THREE MOUNTIES EARN TRIP TO 110th PENN RELAYS

MANSFIELD – Distance runners Josh Wooten (Henrietta, NY/Rush-Henrietta) and Chris Cummings (Mansfield/Mansfield) along with race walker Joe Trapani (Lake Grove,NY/Lake Grove) have all accepted an invitation to compete in the prestigious Penn Relays.

The 2004 Penn Relays is the oldest and largest relay carnival in the world. This year the Penn Relays is celebrating its 110th running and some of the most talented athletes from your school, region, state and country will be on hand to participate in the year's most exciting event.

The 2004 Penn Relays always fall on the last weekend of April and will be conducted this year on Thursday, April 22, Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24.

The first official race of the Penn Relays kicks off on Thursday, April 22 at 10 a.m. with the College Women's 400 Hurdles Championship. Thursday generally consists of women's races, from high school events to Olympic Development performances and the day concludes with distance races that begin at 6:30 p.m. and last until after 11.

All three Mansfield runners will compete in events on Thursday.
