FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CUMMINGS AND LEARN WIN BRIDGMAN MEMORIAL 5k
MANSFIELD-The 2003 Bob Bridgman Memorial 5k Race took place at Mansfield University on May 26th. The overall men’s winner was Chris Cummings, with a time of 17:06. Cummings also won the previous year’s race with the same time. The overall women’s winner was Charity Learn with a time of 18:43. Learn has won every year since the inception of the race in 2001. Men’s second and third place went to Tyler Spencer (17:16) and Skip Strobel (17:27). Women’s second and third were Tricia Learn (19:48) and Lori Kingsley (19:37). Bob Bridgman was a mathematics professor at Mansfield who passed away in 2000. The race is held by his family and friends in his honor to benefit the Mansfield High School Cross Country Team, The Mansfield University Cross Country Team, and the Wellsboro SPCA.
