FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CHARITY LEARN TOPS THE FIELD AT THE 2004 TIDEWATER FALL CLASSIC

SALISBURY, MD- Mansfield University's Charity Learn (TROY/NORTH PENN) took first place on the women's race and Chris Cummings was third in the men's race at the Tidewater Fall Classic in Salisbury, MD Saturday afternoon.

With a winning time of 21:38, Learn beat the second place finisher Molly Lare of Kutztown University by 16 seconds.  Learn has finished first in all three races she has competed in this season.

Rachel Hall (Blue Ridge/New Milford) turned in a time of 22:34, which was good for third place finish. Charity Learn and Rachel Hall's efforts were good enough to get the women's team a fifth place finish at the Tidewater Fall Classic.

The men's team also finished the Tidewater Fall Classic in fifth place. Chris Cummings (Mansfield/Mansfield) finished in third place out of the 92 competitors on the men's side with a time of 25:40.

The men's and women's Cross Country teams will be back in action Saturday October, 16, at the Penn St. Invitational.
