ITHACA, NY – Erica Ferguson and Joe Stanek hits PSAC qualifying marks to highlight Mansfield’s efforts at the Cornell Big Red Invitational Sunday afternoon.

Despite the inclement weather Ferguson qualified in the 400 meters earning an eighth place finish with a time of 1:00.19. Stanek finished fifth overall in the 10,000 meters to qualify with a time of 32.25.75.

Also recording top eight finishes were Nicole McCarthy with a second-place effort (104-07) in the javelin. Elley Trubic (94-05) and Erin Schlitzer (94-05) finished sixth in the same event. Schlitzer also finished sixth in the shot put (35-05.00).

In addition to Stanek’s fifth-place time in the 10,000, Sean Vollenweider was sixth (34:36.34) and Scott Wilt seventh (36:17.10). Victor Garcia finished sixth in the 800 (1:56.56) with Kevin Cusworth placing sixth in the steeplechase (10:05.36).

Mansfield will return to Cornell this coming Saturday.
