FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield qualifies six for PSAC Championship at Golden Flash Invitational – Men’s 4x400 relay team set school record

KENT, OH – Mansfield’s 4x400 relay team of Victor Garcia, Justen Johnson, Brandon Marlow and Casey Aylesworth broke the school record while Clarissa Cummings, Erica Ferguson,  Nate McNabb, Bud Plaszenski, and Bethany Coons all achieved PSAC qualifying marks at Kent State’s Golden Flash Invitational Saturday.

The 4x400 relay team broke the school mark of 3:27.23 set in 2008.

McNabb finished third in the mile with a time of 4:19.46 with Plaszenski was two spots back in fifth place (4:21.91). Cummings was sixth in the women mile (5:19.43) while Garcia finished 9^th in the 800 (1:55.72).

Coons  was 10^th in the 800 with a qualifying time of 2:27.02 and Ferguson was 16^th in the 400 (1:01.08).

Also having strong showings for Mansfield were Mike Gray with a season-best heave of 51-08.50 in the shot put and Ryan Detwiller’s 6-06.25 effort in the high jump.
