FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Menís Cross Country Takes 14th and Women Take 21st At 35th Annual Brooks Paul Short Run
Joe Stanek, Chris Bogenschutz, Nate Macnabb, Sean Vollenweieder, Kevin Cusworth and John-Mark Stoltz led the men to their 14th place finish at Lehigh University Thursday afternoon. Stanek took 35th in 26:52, Bogenschutz placed 63rd in 27:22, Macnabb crossed in 27:40 to take 85th, Vollenweieder took 102nd in 27:51, Cusworth finished in 144th in 28:33 and Stoltz finished the race in 28:55 to place 167th. The menís race had 41 teams and a total of 270 runners.
Other runners that competed in the menís JV race for Mansfieldís menís team were John McDonnell (28:46), Brady Finogle (28:59), Scott Wilt (29:26), Victor Garcia (30:22), Glendon Zimmerman (30:29) and Mason Teribury (32:08).
Brenae Edwards, Clarissa Correll, Sarah Lonzi, Christine Gilles, Christyna Cain and Kelly Hollenbeck led the women to 21st place overall. Edwards took 37th in 23:05, Correll took 85th in 24:02, Lonzi took 124th in 24:46, Gilles took 149th in 25:22, Cain took 165th in 25:52 and Hollenbeck took 182nd in 26:24. The womenís race included 37 teams with 260 finishers.
Other runners that competed in the womenís JV race for the women were Brittany Capsello (26:38) and Sara Vivona (29:07).
Mansfieldís next meet is October 18 at Richard Stockton, New Jersey for the CTC Championships.
