Release Date:11/17/07 For Immediate Release: Wooten leads cross country team to 10 place finish in ECAC meet NEW YORK, NY - Senior Josh Wooten finished in fifth place and was the first Division II runner to cross the finish line to lead Mansfield to a 10th place finish at the IC4A University Race at Bronx, New York on Saturday. Freshman Brenae Edwards finished in 43 to lead the Mountaineer women. Wooten finished with a time of 25:58. "They ran very well," head coach Mike Rohl said. "If we had a full team we would have finished third, but we were still the highest team in Division II." Senior Dave Sanford finished 32nd with a time of 26:55 while freshman Joe Stanek finished in 48th with a time of 27:08. Sean Vollenweider came in 79th with a time of 27:42. Freshman Irene Primmer was the second finisher for the women finishing in 148th with a time of 21:29. Senior Sarah Pinkowski finished 23 seconds behind her in 164th place while Ryan Kelly finished just seven seconds behind her in 166th. |
