FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Dann Shatters Record and Hits Provisional Mark

LEWISBURG – Senior Nicole Dann turned in a school record and NCAA provisional qualifying performance in the 1500 meter run on Friday night at the Bucknell Open.

The outstanding senior bettered her own record from last season by over seven seconds en route to finishing 12th in the primarily Division I race.

Joining Dann at the Bucknell Distance Carnival was Dave Sanford who ran in the invitational 1500.

Sanford ran a personal best time of 3:56.53, good enough to finish 15th overall and secure him a spot at the PSAC Championships.

The Mountaineers will host a high school track and field invitational Saturday afternoon before traveling to New York City to compete at Icahn Stadium on Sunday.
