FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Record Setting Day for Nicole Dann and Dave Sanford at Penn State National Open

UNIVERSITY PARK – Nicole Dann (Lucan, ONT/Medway) and Dave Sanford (Nescopeck/Central Columbia) each set school records at the second day of the Penn State National Open at the Horace Ashenfelter III Indoor Track Saturday afternoon.

Dann shattered Charity Learn’s school record (5:12.16 – 2003) with a time of 5:07.00 against some of the top NCAA Division I talent in the country. Sanford broke his won record of 1:55.17 that he set in his last race with a stunning time of 1:53.97 in the 800 meters.

Also placing for the Mountaineers was Katrina Brumfield (Chester Springs/Owen J. Roberts) in the high jump with a mark of 1.62 meters.
