RELEASE DATE: 11/04/06 SLIPPERY ROCK – Senior Rachel Hall kicked her way to a 15th overall finish and All-Regional honors at the NCAA Division II East Regional Cross Country Championship at Slippery Rock Saturday. Hall led the Mountaineer women to an 11th place finish (287) in the 29 team field. “Rachel was like steel today,” said head coach Mike Rohl. “She ran that tough despite rolling an ankle. She ended her cross country career like the champion she is.” Tricia learn was the Mountaineers second overall finisher at 52nd place with a time of 25:19 followed by freshman Jessica Wagner (65th – 25:40), Heather Wida (72nd – 25:57), Christyna Cain (83rd – 26:14) Amanda Streeter was 95th (26:50) and Kristin Weller 115th (27:29). Dave Sanford was the Mountaineers only men’s runner finishing 24th overall with a time of 34:11. “Dave ran the best race of his career,” said Rohl. “He finished almost 50 places better than he did last season and higher than last week in the PSAC Championship.
