This Season in Shattering School Record LEWISBURG
– Chris Cummings continued his impressive season by winning the 1500 meters at
the Bison Outdoor Classic at Cummings winning time of 3:47.27 shatters the school record and is the second fastest 1500 meter recorded in all of NCAA Division II this season. It also is a provisional qualify time for the NCAA Division II National Championship and the fastest time by a PSAC runner this season. Cummings was in fifth place with 300 meters to go when he started his finishing kick covering the distance in just 42 seconds. To give just an idea of how fast his time was, Cummings time would have been the fifth fastest at last year’s NCAA Division II Championship. Nicole Dann finished sixth in the women’s 1500 with a school record time of 4:45.25 breaking Charity Learn’s record of 4:48.61 in 2005. |
