Mounties Prepare for PSAC Championship at Cornell Big Red Invitational Ithaca, NY – Jeremy Confer won the javelin Katrina Brumfield took second in the high jump at the Big Red Invitational Sunday at Cornell University. The Mountaineers used the meet to prepare for this week’s PSAC Track and Field Championship at California University (PA). Confer bested a field of 19 throwers with a toss of 184-09, more than 15 feet better than his next opponent. Brumfield was second in the high jump at 5-01. Josh Herman was fourth in the javelin (158-10). Also performing well were Charity Walker with a fourth place finish in the 1500 meters (4:47.97), and Rachael Hall with a fifth place finish and the highest non-Division I place in the 800 meters with a time of 2:22.74. Doug DeBenedetto was sixth in the 400 (50.94) while Amanda Fedish finish sixth in both the 100 (12.95) and 200 (26.38) meter dashes. Finishing with in the top ten were Bryan Morseman who was seventh in the 1500 (4:06.31), Marisa Fronczkiewicz eighth in the 200 (26.48), Bryan Falcone ninth in the 400 (51.44), Marisa Fronczkiewicz ninth in the 100 (13.10), Jon Holtz ninth in the 800 (2:00.21), Tricia Learn 10th in the 3000 (12:14.06) and Clarissa Correll 10th in the 800 (2:30.83).
