RELEASE DATE: 1/08/05 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MEN’S AND WOMEN’S SPRINT RELAY TEAMS SET NEW SCHOOL RECORDS AT BUCKNELL GULDEN RELAYS – CHARITY LEARN FINISHES SECOND IN MILE RUN LEWISBURG – Both the Mansfield University men’s and women’s sprint relay teams shattered the school record and Charity Learn finished second in the mile run at the Bucknell Gulden Relays Saturday evening. The men’s team of Adam Keir, Mike Yannick, Keith Drummond and Chris Cummings finished with a time of 3:42.35 shattering the record mark of 3:58.5 set in 1999. The women’s team of Amanda Fedish, Katrina Brumfield, Marisa Lucero and Steph Cadwell set a new school mark with a time of 4:26.80 to shatter the school record of 4:54.3 set in 1999. Learn finished second in the mile in a field of 23 runners with a time of 5:13.39 – just over a second slower than her school record of 5:12.16 set in 2003. |
