FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CHRIS CUMMINGS AND CHARITY LEARN EARNED NCAA DIVISION II CROSS COUNTRY COACHES ASSOCIATION ALL-ACADEMIC HONORS; MEN’S AND WOMEN’S TEAMS EARN NCAA DIVISION II CROSS COUNTRY COACHES ASSOCIATION ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM HONORS

MANSFIELD- Chris Cummings and Charity Learn earned NCAA Division II Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors.  To be named to this prestigious honor, the student-athlete must have a minimum 3.25 cumulative grade point average, must have placed in the top 30% of the total number of athletes in the Regional Championships, and must have completed 24 credit hours. 

Chris Cummings is a sophomore physics major with a 3.489 grade point average.  He finished 22nd out of 210 runners at the Regional Championships. 

Charity Learn is a junior environmental biology major with a 3.98 grade point average.  She finished 3rd out of 220 runners at the Regional Championships. 

The men’s and women’s teams were both named to the NCAA Division II Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic Team honors.  To be named to the team honors, the team must have a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.0, and each team must have a minimum of five athletes.

The men’s team has a team cumulative grade point average of 3.119.

The women’s team has a team cumulative grade point average of 3.527.
