FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIE WOMEN IMPRESSIVE AT LHU QUALIFIER – AMANDA FEDISH, RACHAEL HALL AND ROBYN IRELAND ALL TAKE TOP HONORS

MANSFIELD – Freshman Amanda Fedish won the 100 meters and took second in the 200 meters while Rachael Hall won the 3,000. Fedish ran in record breaking time with a 25.92. Robyn Ireland won the 5000 meters at the Lock Haven Qualifier Sunday afternoon at 20:23.43.

Earning second place finishes were Charity Learn in the 1500 (4:48.61). Learn's time was good enough to break the school record. Katrina Brumfield was second in the high jump (5'-03"). Learn was also third in the 800 2:25.58, and teammates Meg Kerr (Pole vault – 9'-06.00") and Casey Root (Javelin – 122'-03.25") also took third place.  

The 400m relay team consisting of Katrina Brumfield, Marisa Lucero, Amanda Fedish and Steph Cadwell, broke the school record with a time of 50.13, bettering their mark previously this year. The 1600m relay ran to a school best as well, hitting a 4:06.02 which included Nicole Dann, Steph Cadwell, Katrina Brumfield and Marisa Lucero. Steph Cadwell also broke an individual school record, beating her 2003 record in the 400m intermidate hurdles with a time of 1:08.97. 

On the men’s side, Chris Cummings was first in the 1500 with a winning time of 3:58.86. Josh Wooten was second in the steeplechase (10:02.5) and Jon Holtz third in the 800 (1:58.25).

Mansfield will host the 2005 PSAC Outdoor Men’s and Women Track and Field Championship this Thursday, Friday and Saturday on the Robert Maxson Track at Karl Van Norman Field.
