FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: KATRINA BRUMFIELD WINS HIGH JUMP AT CORNELL INVITATIONAL -- CHARITY LEARN FINISHES SECOND IN STEEPLECHASE

ITHACA, NY – Freshman Katrina Brumfield won the high jump and Charity Learn finished second in the 3000 steeplechase at the Cornell Invitational Sunday afternoon.

Brumfield took top honors in the high jump with a 5-5 effort while Learn was second in the steeplechase at 11.30:26. Rachel Hall was fourth in the same event with a time of 11.28:62.

Freshman Amanda Fedish was third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.80 and fellow freshman Casey Root was third in the javelin with a toss of 114-06. Freshman Marisa Lucero fourth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:01.05.

Fedish also place in the 200 meters with a seventh best time of 26.30 while Steph Cadwell was seventh in the 800 with a time of 2:21.36.

On the men’s side, Keith Drummond was fourth in the 400 meters at 50.93 with Jeremy Confer finishing fourth in the javelin (185-04). Josh Wooten placed sixth in the 1500 at 4:07.69 and Chad Woodruff was seventh in the 110 hurdles (16.35).

The Mountaineers will travel to Lock Haven this Sunday for the Last Chance Meet before hosting the PSAC Track and Field Championship May 12-14.
