Lodi—The Mansfield
University Women’s Soccer team played 50 minutes of hard fought soccer to come
away with a 0-0 tie against Felician College (NJ).
After a strong season
opening victory over Juniata College, the Mounties couldn’t put one of their
14 shots in goal. Amy Dominick (Lancaster/Manheim Twsp.) led the Mountie
offense with three shots with Erin Drum (Hollidaysburg/Hollidaysburg), Jamie
Heller (Canton/Troy) and Nikki Nycz (Toms River, NJ/Toms River
South) each had two shots.
The Mountie defense held
Felician to six shots. Freshman goalkeeper Nicole Rodweller (Easton/Easton)
recorded her first collegiate shut out.
Mansfield’s record is now 1-0-1. Felician’s record is
0-1-1.
