FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: HEAD COACH TIM DEMPSEY ANNOUNCES 2003 WOMEN’S SOCCER RECRUITING CLASS – NINE NEW MEMBERS COMMIT TO PLAYING AT MANSFIELD NEXT SEASON

MANSFIELD – Mansfield University head women’s soccer coach Tim Dempsey released his recruiting class of 2003 this afternoon.

Nine student-athletes have signed letters-of-intent to play for Mansfield University during the upcoming 2003 season.

“This is really a pretty exciting class,” Dempsey said. “All of them are quality athlete’s and students with some of them having the ability to make an immediate impact. We will be a better and deeper team this season because of this incoming class.”  

Mansfield fielded its first ever women’s soccer team last season, finishing with a 2-11 record. Most of the losses were by a goal.

 The Mountaineers open the 2003 season when they host Juniata College on Aug. 29.
