MANSFIELD ELITE SOCCER ACADEMY

ONE DAY SOCCER CLINIC FOR HIGH SCHOOL AGE PLAYERS

Sunday, June 4, 2006 : 12pm – 3pm (Females) 3:30pm - 6:30pm (Males)

@Mansfield University Soccer Fields

Program is for high school age soccer players looking to go on and play at the college level. This is not for the beginning soccer player. Participants should have a combination of both club and varsity soccer experience.

Registration will be limited to the first 20 field players and 4 goalkeepers that sign-up

Cost is $30: all participants will receive a free t-shirt compliments of Northern Tier Athletes

Program will be run by Tim Dempsey, the Head Soccer Coach @ Mansfield University.

Coach Dempsey is former collegiate All-American player who played in three NCAA Division III Final Four National Championship Tournaments. In 12 years of coaching at Green Mountain College in Vermont, he guided his team to 11 conference and four regional championships, as well as three appearances in the NAIA National Tournament. Since coming to Mansfield in the Spring of 2001 to start the Mountaineer’s women’s soccer program, Dempsey has steadily built the program into a competitive team. The past Fall (2005), only four years into the start of the program, MU finished with their first winning record (8-7-3), and they return a majority of the team for the 2006 season.

Program Format

First 15 Minutes - Lecture from Coach Dempsey on what it takes to be a quality college level player and what the rest of the program will entail.

One Hour and Fifteen Minutes - Skill work in small groups

One Half-Hour - Soccer demonstration by Coach Dempsey using his college players

One Hour - Players will play small sided games with instruction from Coach Dempsey

-This form is NOT an official university application and does not include payment. This form will simply notify Coach Dempsey of your intent to enroll in the clinic. You must send payment through the mail, or pay the morning of the clinic.
