FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Women’s Soccer Holds Own until End of First Half against Kutztown

MANSFIELD: Mansfield women’s soccer team held Kutztown to a scoreless game until six minutes left in the first half when Kutztown took the lead and the game with two goals.

In the 39^th minute of play, Kutztown’s Chelsea Bressler and Jen Pyne scored just over half a minute of each other. Kelly Bushe had the assist off of Pyne’s goal.

Bushe later put in a goal of her own with three minutes left to play in the game to bring the final score up to 3-0.

Mansfield’s Alexis Wilhelm has seven saves while Kutztown’s Alyssa Hackelberg had five.

Kutztown outshot Mansfield 18-7 and had 11 corner kicks compared to Mansfield’s two.

Kutztown’s record is now 7-2-1 and Mansfield’s is now 3-6-1.

Mansfield will next host West Chester University on Saturday October 3^rd at 1:30 pm while they sponsor Red Card Cancer.
