FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Women’s Soccer Goes 0-2 On the Season Against Bloomsburg

Bloomsburg – The Mountaineer soccer team loss Tuesday evening against Bloomsburg 1-0 making their record against Bloomsburg now 0-2 on the season. Their first loss came to them at home when Bloom won 3-1.

The first half at Bloomsburg on Tuesday was scoreless with Mansfield having only one shot while Bloom had nine shots. The second half looked like it would be scoreless also until Bloomsburg’s Lauren Hess scored off an assist from Kristine Preski in the 71^st minute.

Justine Segear recorded eight saves while Bloomsburg’s Frances Nicoletti had three.

Kaitlyn McBride had three shots, Jackie Karlovich had two shots and Katelyn Smoker added one more to Mansfield’s six shots. Bloomsburg had a total of 14 shots.

The Mountaineers come home this Saturday to play Millersville University at 1:30 pm.
