FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield’s Lyndi Keiser named PSAC East Player of the Week

MANSFIELD – Mansfield University junior forward Lyndi Keiser (Mechanicsburg/Mechanicsburg) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for her outstanding performance during the first week of the 2007 season.

Keiser has scored all three of Mansfield’s goals on the year including both goals in the Mountaineers 2-1 win at Kutztown on Monday.

Keiser, the Mountaineers all-time leading scorer, became the first player in school history to score 20 career goals with her second goal in the Kutztown game. It was the first time Mansfield beat Kutztown in the Mountaineers six year women’s soccer history.

She also scored a goal in a 1-1 season opening tie with Edinboro.

Mansfield is 1-1-1 on the season and travels to Millersville this Saturday.
