RELEASE DATE: 9/21/06 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mounties Shutout Millersville in Women’s Soccer – Corcoran and Dominick Score Goals – Segear Records Second Career Save MILLERSVILLE – Colleen Corcoran and Amy Dominick each scored a goal while Justine Segear posted her second career shutout to lead Mansfield to a 2-0 win over Millersville in PSAC East women’s soccer Thursday afternoon at Chyrst Field. “We needed a win and worked hard to get it today,” said head coach Tim Dempsey. “We’ve struggled at times this season in playing consistently for 90 minutes but we did that today.” Corcoran scored her team best fourth goal of the season in the 26th minute staying with a ball in front of the goal and knocking it in off a deflection by a defender. Dominick scored the game’s final goal with 15 seconds left with a shot from nine yards out on an assist by Kim Pachuta. Millersville had it’s best chance to score with nine minutes remaining, but Segear made a tough save on a hard kicked ball in front of the net. Segear was credited with two saves on the day with Millersville goalie Karrie Riggins recording six saves. The Mountaineers improve to 2-7 overall and 2-4 in the PSAC East. Millersville is 1-5-2 overall and 1-2-1 in PSAC play. Mansfield host West Chester for a Homecoming tilt on Sunday at 1:30
