FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: WOMEN’S SOCCER FALLS 3-0 AT KUTZTOWN

KUTZTOWN – The Mansfield women’s soccer team suffered its first shutout of the season in dropping a 3-0 decision in a PSAC East contest at Kutztown Wednesday afternoon.

The Mountaineers struggled to get going offensively, managing just two shots in the game with both coming in the first half.

Kutztown’s Kelly Murdock and Cheyenne Brunner combined for all three goals and two assists. Julie Miller had seven saves in goal for Mansfield.

Mansfield falls to 4-3-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the PSAC East while Kutztown improves to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

The Mountaineers travel to East Stroudsburg on Saturday.
