FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES FALL 3-0 TO WEST CHESTER

MANSFIELD – West Chester scored twice in the second half on their way to a 3-0 win over Mansfield in PSAC East women’s soccer at Mansfield University Saturday afternoon.

Julie Karcher scored a first half unassisted goal to give West Chester a 1-0 advantage at intermission and the Golden Rams added two more goals by Elma Numerato and Diana Pavan in the second half to improve to 7-3-2 overall and a PSAC East best 6-3 in the conference.

Mansfield struggled offensively managing four shots in the game to West Chester’s 22. Senior Nina Lucero had two shots on goal while Julie Miller recorded 14 saves in the game for the Mountaineers who fall to 2-9-1 overall and 0-7-1 in the PSAC East.

The Mountaineers travel to Bloomsburg on Tuesday.
