FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIES FALL 1-0 AT SHIPPENSBURG

SHIPPENSBURG – Lindsey Smith scored off a breakaway late in the game to lift Shippensburg to a 1-0 win over Mansfield in PSAC East women’s soccer late Saturday night at Shippensburg.

The Mountaineer defense put on a strong effort and goalies Nicole Rodweller and Julie Miller combined for six saves off 21 Shippensburg shots. Mansfield managed to get off just two shots.

Mansfield falls to 2-8 overall and 0-6 in the PSAC East.  The Mountaineers host East Stroudsburg this Wednesday.
