FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANSFIELD UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM FALLS 4-1 AT BLOOMSBURG UNIVERSITY

MANSFIELD- The Mansfield University Women’s soccer team lost in a come from behind victory by the Bloomsburg Huskies. In the first half of play, Mansfield University took the lead right away on a goal by Vanessa Wengen (Hunlock Creek/Lake Lehman) with the assist coming from Megan Colbey (Lancaster/Conestoga Valley), 10:42 into the game.  Bloomsburg evened the score 22 minutes later to tie the game at halftime. 

In the second half, Bloomsburg scored three goals, making the final score 4-1. Julie Miller (Watkins Glen, NY/Watkins Glen) made nine saves in goal for Mansfield.  Bloomsburg University improves to 6-7 overall, and a 4-4 record in the PSAC. Mansfield University is now 2-10-1 overall, with a 0-7-1 record in the PSAC.

The Mansfield University Mountaineers will host the Golden Bears of Kutztown University on October 16^th at 3:00.
