FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANSFIELD DEFEATS MT. ALOYSIUS COLLEGE 67-55

CRESSON- Mansfield University defeated Mt. Aloysius College 67-55 Thursday night to improve to 11-11 on the season.

The Mountaineers were led by sophomore Alison Tagliaferri (Linden/Jersey Shore) who recorded her sixth double double of the season with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Mansfield jumped out to a 42-29 halftime lead.  Senior Jessica Pfeiffer (Erie/Seneca) went three for three on from the three-point line in the first half. She finished the game with nine points.

The start of the second half, Tagliaferri scored the first 13 points as the Mountaineers went on to win 67-55.

Senior Rachel Rieder (Cranberry Township/Seneca Valley) scored nine points while recording 10 rebounds.  Junior Stephanie Rieser (Barnegat NJ/Southern Regional) scored 12 points while dishing out five assists.

With the win the Mountaineers improve to 11-11 overall.  Mansfield will play host to West Chester University 1 p.m. Saturday at Decker Gymnasium.
