FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIE WOMEN IMPROVE TO 3-4 WITH 86-54 WIN OVER MT. ALOYSIUS – ALISON TAGLIAFERRI AND JESSICA UHRICH EACH SCORE 17

MANSFIELD – Alison Tagliaferri and freshman Jessica Uhrich each scored a game high 17 points to lead Mansfield to an 86-54 win over Mt. Aloysius Saturday afternoon at Decker Gymnasium.

Uhrich, who had a season high 17 points, scored 10 of her points in the first half as Mansfield took a 38-31 lead into intermission. She hit all seven of her shots from the field and pulled down four rebounds.

The Mountaineers led 38-34 with 17:36 of the second half before going on a 14-0 run over the next six minutes to put the game away.

Tagliaferri connected on 7-of-11 attempts from the field with five rebounds two assists and two steals.

Jessica Pfeiffer and Stephanie Rieser each added 10 points for Mansfield (3-4). Mt Aloysius (0-3) was led by Alissa Buchanan with a game high 19 points.

The Mountaineers have now won three of their last four games and travel to Lycoming College Sunday for a 2 p.m. game.
