FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield women improve to 2-0 with 65-41 win over Maine-Fort Kent at Fisher Classic in Boston – Mallory Hafer leads three Mountaineers in double-figures with 15 points

BOSTON, MA – Sisters Mallory and Meredith Hafer combined for 25 points to lead Mansfield to a 65-41 win over Maine-Fort Kent at the Fisher Classic in Boston Saturday.

It marked the first time since the 2006-07 season that Mansfield has won its first two games of the season.

Mallory Hafer scored 15 points while younger sister Meredith had 10 points hitting 4-5 from the floor. Mansfield connected on 41% of its shots to Maine-Fort Kent’s 26%. Mansfield also held a 47-35 rebounding advantage.

Mallory Moore added 14 points and pulled down eight rebounds while Tegan Atallah pulled down a game-high nine rebounds.

Kristen Violette led Maine-Fort Kent (1-2) with 15 points.

Mansfield (2-0) travels to Notre Dame (OH) Saturday.
