FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Think Pink Day for breast cancer awareness set for this Saturday at Mansfield’s  Decker Gymnasium – Free tickets available at First Citizens National Bank locations in Mansfield, Blossburg and Wellsboro

MANSFIELD – First Citizens National Bank and Mansfield University athletics have teamed up for the biggest day of collegiate basketball this season when the Mountaineer women and men’s team’s host Cheyney University this Saturday afternoon at Decker Gymnasium.

The women tip-off at 1 p.m. followed by the men’s game at 3 p.m.

First Citizens National Bank will provide free tickets to the PSAC East doubleheader at locations in Mansfield, Blossburg and Wellsboro.

The women’s game is also Think Pink Day in association with the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Pink Zone national promotion. The promotion is designed to promote breast cancer awareness.

Laurie (Bowen) Frey, a Mansfield native and 1984 graduate of Mansfield University will also be on hand with copies of her book “Unbeatable”.  The book chronicles Frey’s battle against stage three breast cancer and other adversities through humor and faith. Frey, who serves as the tour manager for David Copperfield and the Blue Man Group, also has a Broadway-style musical adapted from the book. She will have copies of the book and CD’s of the musical available in the lobby.

The Mansfield University Relay for Life will be on hand as will the MU chapter of ZTA distributing cancer awareness materials.

Fans are also invited to stay after the men’s game for a special Key West Spring Break Party featuring the Jimmy Buffett tribute band “Changes of Latitudes”.

Both games and the Key West Party are free with tickets from First Citizens National Bank.
