FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Ice cold Mounties drop 69-33 decision at Millersville – Mansfield shots just 22% from the floor in loss

MILLERSVILLE – The ice-cold Mansfield University women’s basketball team managed to connect on just 22% of its shots from the floor in dropping a 69-33 decision to Millersville in a PSAC East game at Pucillo Gymnasium Saturday afternoon.

Mansfield managed just 15 points in the first half in trailing 31-15 at halftime and things got little better in the second half.

It was the lowest team shooting percentage in a game in at least nine seasons and the least points in a game since a 76-28 loss to Drury University in 2003 

Merissa Gaeta and Emily Akins topped Mansfield with seven points each.

Kristin Kunzman come off the bench to score a game high 14 points for Millersville (4-3 PSAC East, 12-9).

Mansfield, which had beaten Millersville 61-57 at Decker Gymnasium earlier in the season, falls to 4-3 in the PSAC East and 11-10 overall.

Mansfield travels to Kutztown on Wednesday
