FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mounties Courtney Brooks Named PSAC East Player of the Week

MANSFIELD – Mansfield University point guard Courtney Brooks (Harrisburg/Susquehanna Township) has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Player of the Week.

The announcement was released by the PSAC office this afternoon.

A sophomore, Brooks averaged 20.0 points, 7.5 assists, 6.0 steals and 5.0 rebounds during the two game span, scoring a career best 21 points in an overtime loss at Dowling. Her eight steals against Dowling were the second most in school history.

Brooks hit 56.0% (14-25) of her shots from the floor including 58.8% (10-17) of her 3-pointers.

For the season, Brooks is averaging 8.1 points per game and leads the PSAC in assists (4.5) and steals (3.7 p/g).
