FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: TAGLIAFERRI’S 24^TH CAREER DOUBLE-DOUBLE GOES FOR NAUGHT IN 67-48 LOSS AT MILLERSVILLE

MILLERSVILLE – Alison Tagliaferri recorded her 24^th career double-double, but  Mansfield shot just 30% from the floor in a 67-48 PSAC East loss at Millersville Wednesday night.

Millersville scored the first 14 points of the game and lead 23-6 after the first eight minutes of the game. The cold shooting Mountaineers connected on just 22% in the first half to trail 35-23 at intermission.

Mansfield opened the second half with a 9-4 run to close the gap to 39-32 on a layup by Tagliaferri six minutes into the second half but could pull no closer.

Tagliaferri recorded her eighth double-double this season with 15 points and 10 rebounds. She also contributed four steals and two assists. Jessica Uhrich added 11 points with six rebounds.

Danielle Marshall scored a game high 17 points to lead Millersville (11-12, 5-3 PSAC East).

Mansfield falls to 8-14 overall and 3-4 in the PSAC East. The Mountaineers will host West Chester in a Senior Day contest this Saturday afternoon.
