FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield breaks into NCBWA North Atlantic Regional Top Ten after successful Florida trip. MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University baseball team vaulted into the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) North Atlantic Regional Poll after posting an 11-5 record during their recently completed Florida trip. Mansfield, which hadn’t received a vote in the first two weekly polls, was #9 this week with 23 points. West Chester, the #6 ranked team in the nation, received all eight first place votes to top the poll with 80 points. Mansfield will play #4 ranked Shippensburg four times later this week traveling to Shippensburg for a doubleheader on Friday before hosting the Raiders in the Mountaineers home opener on Saturday.
