SWIMMING OPENS 2003/04 SEASON

opened the 2003/04 season
Saturday afternoon against
California
University
(Pa) and Penn State
Altoona.
Mansfield’s Andrea
Popovic (
Novi
Sad
,
Yugoslavia
) finished first in the 1000 yard free style event
with a time of 11:45.08 and second in the 500 yard free style event with a time
of 5:47.58.
The Mountaineers also had a strong performance from Daniella
Borreilli (Vestal) who finished second in the 200 yard IM event with a
time of 2:27.20.
Mansfield’s first home meet of
the season is the Mansfield Tri at 4 p.m.
Oct. 25 at the pool in
Decker gymnasium.
