FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MOUNTIE SWIMMING FALL TO BLOOMSBURG, 109-74
Bloomsburg – The Mansfield University Women’s Swimming team dropped a duel meet to Bloomsburg, 109-74, held Saturday at Bloomsburg University.
Sophomores Andrea Popovic (Novi Sad, Yugoslavia) led the Mounties with a first place finish in the 500-yard Free (5:40.16) and second in the 1000-yard Free (11:50.42).
Other first place finishers include Abbe Tipton (Elmira, NY) in the 200 Backstroke (2:27.88) and Jill Netterman (Mansfield) in the 200 Breaststroke (2:57.15).
The 400-yard Relay team of Melissa Recchiuti (West Chester), Kelly Coyle (Chemung, NY), Diana Daniel (Vestal) and Netterman finished first with a time of 4:32.05.
The Mountaineers will host Lock Haven University, November 8, at Decker Gym. The meet will begin at 1 p.m.
