FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mansfield swimmer fall 109-66 at Lock Haven – Taylor Zilinek takes first in 200 back for Mounties

LOCK HAVEN – Freshman Taylor Zilinek won the 200 backstroke but Mansfield fell to Lock Haven 109-66 in a PSAC women’s swim meet at Lock Haven Saturday.

Zilinek beat three Lock Haven swimmers with a time of 2:23.27 and also finished third in the 200 IM (2:29.34).

Freshman Lindsey Gregg was awarded first place points in the 500 free with a time of 5:48.28 and was third in the 200 free (2:12.25). Junior Megan Smickley had a strong showing with second place finishes in 1000 free (12:12.36) and 200 fly (2:27.82).

Emily Staib was third in the 50 free (27.11) while Christine Gillies was third in the 100 free.

Mansfield is now 2-2 overall on the season and travels to Kutztown next Saturday.
