FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Women’s Swimming Team Drops a 133-59 Decision to Penn State Altoona

Mansfield University swimming team fell to Penn State Altoona in a duel meet Saturday 133-59.

Tricia Learn won the 200 yard freestyle in 2:07.88. Learn also won the 500 yard freestyle in 5:47.39.

Jillian Holden won the 200 yard individual medley in a time of 2:34.34. Holden also won the 100 yard breast stroke in a time of 1:20.47.

Megan Smickley won the 100 yard butterfly in 1:10.19

The 200 yard medley relay team of Smickley, Samantha Kutskel, Emily Arnold and Holden took second place with a time of 2:16.49.

Smickley, Kutskel, and Arnold teamed up with Learn in the 200 yard freestyle relay to take second in a time of 1:59.68. Altoona’s team of Caroline Smith, Kaitlyn Knott, Brittany Bauer and Melissa DeFelice won by just .09 of a second.

Kutskel took third in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 30.47. Arnold also took third in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:18.08.
