Maikner, Learn win events for Mansfield University

East Stroudsburg- Senior Maureen Maikner won the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:42.59 and junior Tricia Learn took first in 500 freestyle with a time of 5:37.64 at the East Stroudsburg Invite on Saturday afternoon.

Maikner swam in the 200 freestyle finishing in third with a time of 2:09.62 while Learn took second in the 400 IM with a time of 5:02.38

Both Maikner and Learn swam in the 200 freestyle Relay with Katie Stillittano and Sarah Koontz that finished in second place with a time of 1:51.03.

“That was a good surprise,” head coach Danita Fox said.  “All four swam well and it was a fun race to watch.”

The Mountaineers won't swim next until the PSAC's.  The PSAC conference meet begins on Wednesday Feb. 21 and goes until Sunday Feb. 24.  The meet is at Cumberland Valley high school.
