For Immediate Release: Mansfield beats Wells College and Pitt-Bradford in Tri-meet

Pitt-Bradford- Megan Smickley and Tricia Learn set pool records to help Mansfield beat Pitt-Bradford 61-20 and Wells College 60-21 in a tri-meet at Pitt-Bradford on Saturday afternoon.

Smickley won the 200 butterfly with a pool record time of 2:39.77.  She also took second place in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:18.62

Learn set her pool record in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:18.57.  She also took first place in the 200 freestle with a time of 2:09.19 and was part of the 200 medley relay team that took first place with a time of 2:04.34.  Maureen Maikner, Katie Stillittano and Sarah Koontz rounded out the team.

In the 1000 freestyle Maikner took first place with a time of 11:53.42 while Mary Tucker finished second with a time of 12:39.10.  Tucker also finished in second in the 500 freestyle.

Sarah Koontz won the 50 freestyle with a time of 27.91 while teammate Stacy Allesch finished fifth with a time of 35.02.  Koontz also finished first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:00.78 while Allesch finished third with a time of 1:18.25.

Katie Stillittano took first in the 200 IM with a time of 2:30.23 while Maggie Stengel took third with a personal best time of 2:41.52.  Stillittano also took first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:57.83.

The Mountaineers will travel to California (PA) for the Vulcan Invite next Friday and Saturday.
