FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Mounties Host Tri-Meet Saturday Afternoon

The Mansfield University Swim team hosted a tri-meet with Edinboro and Kutztown Universities on Saturday afternoon. Final team scores were unavailable from the event, but individual and relay results are list in the meet results link above.

Senior Abbe Tipton led the Mountaineer women with a first place finish in the 200 yard backstroke in a time of 2:20.58. Tipton also finished second in the 100 yard backstroke.

Mansfield got third place finishes from Mary Tucker in the 1000 yard freestyle in a time of 12:36.83 and Amanda Oechler in the 200 yard breaststroke with a time of 2:45.74.

The 200 yard medley relay team of Tipton, Oechler, Daniella Borrelli, and Tamar Maloney also brought home a third place finish.

The Mountaineer women are back in action next weekend when they travel to Indiana for the IUP invitational all weekend.
