FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MANSFIELD DROPS SWIM MEET TO EAST STROUDSBURG UNIVERSITY 145-107; TIPTON AND KLEGARTH MULTIPLE FIRST PLACE FINISHERS

EAST STROUDSBURG- Mansfield University had six first place finishes, but it would not be enough as East Stroudsburg University defeated the Mountaineers 145-107 in PSAC swimming action Saturday afternoon.

The first place finishers for Mansfield were: Abbe Tipton with top finishes in the 100 yard backstroke (1:04.40) and in the 200 yard backstroke (2:18.24), Stephanie Klegarth in the 400 IM (5:14.90) and in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:13.20), and Andrea Popovic in the 1,000 yard freestyle (11:38.91). 

The Mansfield relay of Diana Daniel, Daniella Borrelli, Popovic and Tipton took first place in the 200 yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:53.20. 

The second place finishes for the Mountaineers were: Popovic in the 400 yard IM (5:22.30), Klegarth in the 200 yard breaststroke (2:37.67) and Kristine Van Duzer in the 500 yard freestyle (5:54.35).
