FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Fans invited to preview sprint football program during scrimmage with Princeton Saturday

MANSFIELD – Fans can get a sneak-peak at the new Mansfield University sprint football program when the Mountaineers host Princeton for a scrimmage this Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at Karl Van Norman Field.

The scrimmage is free and open to the general public.

It will be the first football action on Van Norman Field since Mansfield discontinued its NCAA Division II football program after the conclusion of the 2006 season.

The team will scrimmage under game conditions for two 15-minute quarters and work the rest of the scrimmage on different game situations.

Mansfield will host Cornell of Sept. 27 for their first official game.
