FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Football holds final intra squad scrimmage before hosting Princeton

MANSFIELD – The Mansfield University sprint football team held its final intra squad scrimmage before next Saturday’s scrimmage against Princeton.

The defense carried much of the scrimmage with strong play from the defensive line but the offense did have its moments.

Players will weight in on Tuesday and Thursday of this coming week and must be 172 or less on both dates to participate in Saturday’s scrimmage with Princeton.

The scrimmage starts at 1 p.m. at Karl Van Norman Field and is free and open to the public.

Mansfield plays its first sprint football game on Saturday, Sept. 27 when the Mountaineers host Cornell University.
